Important technical note
ORBIS does not use the official Meta/WhatsApp API. Instead, it works by reading/interacting with the web version (WhatsApp Web).
This makes onboarding easier in day-to-day operations, but it comes with operational trade-offs:
- Easier to use: open, authenticate, and run—without complex Meta API credential setup.
- No heavy technical onboarding: avoids the credential/API process, which is typically not intuitive or easy.
- Trade-off: higher latency and more instability compared with native API integrations.
- Continuity risk: platform changes made by Meta to WhatsApp Web can degrade or break features.
